I do not think I could make a joke funnier than the actual story here.
Unlike the Heat, the Knicks can beat playoff teams
Episode 43 – All Time Knicks Fantasy Draft
Be sure to check out out post on podcast where we did our all time (post 1990) Knicks team draft and vote on who has the better team (in the poll on the top of the main page). And, not to influence your voting but Jay’s team would make this current team look like a defensive juggernaut.
The Knicks really came together today and rebounded from an awful, atrocious, abominable, awful, dreadful, painful, terrible, unspeakable (you get the picture) loss on Friday against the Cavs. This team has really looked pretty good except when playing the NBA’s bad news bears squads.
- Roger Mason Jr. had played in 11 games for a total of just under 8 minutes up to this point in the season. Mason tonight went for 25 minutes, played a +25, hit a big 3 from the corner and even blocked 2 shots. Maybe he heard our podcast and this is his answer for why he should not have been released.
- The Knicks actually played some defense tonight. They held the Hawks to 79 points tonight which about what most teams are averaging against the Knicks in the first 3 quarters.
- Anthony Carter proved me wrong tonight as well. I had said he would not start in the d-league and he actually looked pretty good and even hit some clutch treys.
- Amazingly, Billups did not play and Carmelo had a vintage Allen Iverson shooting night and the Knicks still won.
- Amare had another good game and Landry looked awesome as always (my mancrush on him only grows each game).
The NBA Schedules a Losing Streak for Lebron & Co.
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/boxscore?gid=2011030614
Well at least the Heat play well against the teams they ARE NOT going to face in the playoffs. It has to be tough to be Lebron and realize that you actually had a better chance to win a title with last year’s Cavs. And, their new addition Bibby played 11 minutes and scored zero points. I guess he will be the difference maker for this club. It is going to be real tough for the Heatles to do anything in the playoffs with a bench that makes the Knicks bench look like the dream team.

Spurs Crush Heatles, Life is good

The Knicks may have hit rock bottom last night but at least the Lebron & Co. are looking like a worse and worse experiment every day. It seems like Lebron at this point would have had a better shot at a title if he just resigned with Cleveland.
Cavs beat Knicks and I do my best to hold back the little girl tears

What an awful awful awful game. I went to this game and can attest that it looked even worse in person.
- For some reason D’Antoni played Jeffries and Anthony “I would not start in the D-league” Carter instead of Douglas and Fields.
- The isolation happy offense looked slow, boring and waiting to lose
- I am fine with calling the flying knee a foul against Carmelo
- If I only judged JJ Hickson by how he plays against the Knicks I would say he is a lock for the hall of fame.
Eddie Curry: Final Piece to NBA Championship for the Heat???
http://allucanheat.com/2011/03/02/signing-eddy-curry-is-a-no-brainer/
For some reason Heat are considering actually signing and playing Eddy Curry. I understand the Heat are undersized and Curry has size (a whole lot of size) but is this a joke. The only way Curry would help the Heat is by producing fewer leftovers after team dinners. As a Knick, I would like to advise the Heat that this would be a fantastic move for them. He was really an invaluable paperweight on our bench.
Another scheduling loss for Lebron & Co., Why does the league keep scheduling these loses against good teams?

The Heatles dominated the first half against Orlando. Then they completely forgot that there was a 2nd half.
Carmelo sends Thank you note to Denver fans, Lebron drunk dials Cleveland fans at 3AM asking if they are excited for the playoffs

It seems like this Carmelo made every effort to leave Denver in the right way. There is never going to be a perfect way to leave and a team can’t force a superstar to stay (at least until the new collective bargaining agreement is finalized). George Karl should stop trying to take cheap shots. He acts like some jealous ex-girlfriend which is weird because he claims (possibly correctly) the trade made his team better.
