This is funny. Tonight’s game vs. Dallas is not.
A view from Dallas

The Mavericks, tonight’s opponent have been on fire. They are 19-3 since January 22nd. Dirk is a star with the kind of size that will frustrate the Knicks all night.

And the Mavs are really looking to rebound after last night’s game where they played “soft”.
As good as Dirk is, I think Chandler will be a bigger problem. If the Knicks can’t keep him off the boards then it will be tough to win. The Knicks could really use Billups back tonight in a big way to counter Kidd. The biggest factor working in favor of the Knicks tonight is that it looks like both Shawn Marion and Peja Stojakovic might be out which could mean that Corey Brewer will get some more playing time. Hopefully, the Knicks can continue their hot shooting especially from 3 point land as that will need to happen if they hope to win tonight.
The Wire gets a little too real
I don’t care if this is not Knicks related. The Wire was the Michael Jordan of television shows. Hands down the best. Apparently, Snoop did not have too much trouble learning her character for the show.
It is pretty cool having Carmelo Anthony

And, be sure to give Jay some feedback as to why his team has no chance because it plays no defense and the fact that his pick for point guard was atrocious.
And, D’Antoni explains why Brewer was released
I think I had a heart palpitations watching the Knicks beat the Grizzlies
The Knicks pulled off a big win tonight against Memphis. Towards the end of the third quarter the Knicks looked to be on their way to another blowout. The Grizzlies, however, would not say die and chipped away and chipped away. Carmelo had to nail a shot with .5 seconds remaining to secure this victory tonight. But, that is of course why we got Carmelo, we got him to hit clutch shots and secure victories for us. He also had a big steal near the end of the game. The Knicks continue to roll without Billups but this was a game where they could really have used his leadership towards the end of the game. The Knicks had this one but a bunch of sloppy passes and forced shots kept the Grizzlies in this one. Mr. Cool Billups would have made this a much easier victory.
- I sometimes forget that Zach Randolph is a beast. He is looking better than ever.
- The Knicks won the assist battle 31-18 but the Grizzlies shot 35 free throws to only 4 for the Knicks. What an odd game. I love the fact that the Knicks have picked up their passing during this winning streak and I have to assume tonight was just an anomaly as far as getting to the line.
- I hope Bill Walker likes Roger Mason’s seat on the bench.
BRING ON THE DIRK!!!
Who would have guessed that the Heatles would be so much more entertaining off the court than on the court.
If you are going to make fun of Dwayne Wade, Dwayne Wade is taking his ball and going home.
I can already see this being cited during the ESPN 30 for 30 on how the Lebron, Wade, Bosh move did not work out. I believe the next step is for the big three to get “I’m rubber your glue” matching tattoos.
The breakdown for tonight’s game from a Memphis perspective.

A good breakdown of tonight’s Grizzlies vs. Knicks match-up from the perspective of a Grizzly fan. This comes from Memphis fan blog 3 Shades of Blue.
Memphis is playing really well lately. With big men Gasol and Zach Randolph they are going to be a tough match-up for the Knicks tonight. The Knicks do not match up with this team well and will need to be moving the ball and getting their bench involved if they want to win. It would be nice if Turiaf is healthy enough to play tonight because they will need him. I believe the key to the game tonight will be for the Knicks to score more points than the Grizzlies (I love when the announcers say things like this). The actual key I think will be the play of Toney Douglas. If he can play well and help keep Conley under control I think we have a good shot. I also guarantee win or lose Gasol and Randolph will each go double figures in rebounds.
Do you think Lebron wants to re-think the Decision?

Another breakdown of why last night was an awesome night to catch the Amare/Melo show.
What else happened last night:
- http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/boxscore;_ylt=Ar8UubrmYZaIM6xoc7Q3b8CQvLYF?gid=2011030719 The Magic showed they really are not that good with Brandon Bass as their starting center. I guess 2013 won’t be a good season for them.
- http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/boxscore?gid=2011030716 KLove found out that setting the double double record at 51 straight games isn’t so much fun when you have averaged more rebounds than your team has won games over that stretch.
- http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/miamiheat/post/_/id/5087/rod-benson-on-crying-in-basketball The Heat index celebrates its 500th post analyzing the Crying Game.
- http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=310307023 Kyle Lowry continues to make Rocket fans sorry that the team waited so long to trade Aaron Brooks
- http://www.nytimes.com/2011/03/07/sports/basketball/07naps.html?_r=1 And, apparently the better NBA players live and breathe basketball in between nap time.
