The Knicks are 2-3 since my last power rankings and two or three players have been injured since then as well. Who’s hot and who’s not? Lets find out! |

1 |
Anthony, Carmelo |
His rebounding has dipped and he apparantly didn’t know that he is allowed to call a timeout, but he’s been scoring efficiently and hasn’t been as big a mess on defense as a lot of guys on this roster. Who else even remotely deserves the top spot at this point? |

2 |
Hardaway Jr., Tim |
THJ has been the best SG on this team for 2 weeks running yet still sees inconsistent minutes because…Woodson doesn’t like rooks? At this point there is no reason he shouldn’t be playing ahead of Shump and JR. |

3 |
Chandler, Tyson |
Chandler might make his return tomorrow! Perfect timing since he now has no one to pass to him. |

Prigioni, Pablo |
Pablo was doing a much better job at the point than Felton. The Knicks even had two entire games where the opposing point guard didn’t torch the Knicks (one of which was against Boston and Jordan Crawford is on my fantasy team. That HAD to be the game where the opposing PG gets shut down?). Now Pablo has a broken toe so the Knicks will have Udrih, JR, Shump and maybe Chris Smith at PG *sobs* |

Stoudemire, Amar’e |
Four straight great offensive games before laying a turd against the Wizards sans Nene. It’s nice having a legitimate 2nd scoring option. Hopefully this level of play will continue until the next injury. |

Bargnani, Andrea |
Bargnani has the uncanny ability to look awesome one game and 24 hours later look like the worst player in the NBA. Enough decent games this week to get the 6th spot, which is saying more about the rest of the roster than it is about Bargs. |

7 |
World Peace, Metta |
Metta has been completely removed from the rotation for some reason. Must be because A) everyone else has been playing so well that there is just to room for him or B) Woodson was confused as to what he was doing at the other end of the court when the Knicks didn’t have the ball. |

8 |
Martin, Kenyon |
K-Mart had two solid games this week before also getting injured. He did his best to injure every player he covered during those to games as well. |
5 |
9 |
Felton, Raymond |
Felton sucked this whole season, but with Pablo injured he’s a huge upgrade over whoever is left, which is utterly depressing. |

10 |
Murry, Toure’ |
With every single guard on the team not named Hardaway either injured or playing like poop will we finally see Murry get some playing time? I doubt it. |

11 |
Udrih, Beno |
Beno is an alright backup point guard for 10 minutes a game, he can hit a shot and sometimes doesn’t pass the ball to the other team. He’s the only non-injured PG on the roster now. Be afraid. |

12 |
Shumpert, Iman |
In a span of 72 hours Shumpert had his best game of the season and his worst game of the season. I’m trying not to think about this too much because it makes my head hurt. |

Aldrich, Cole |
5 games, 4 minutes played, 4 rebounds, 1 turnover. His per 36 minutes stats are through the roof! |

14 |
Smith, Chris |
I don’t care if you had 28 points for the Bayhawks on Saturday, if you are the starting PG by the end of the week I will no longer be able to continue being a Knicks fan. |

Smith, J.R. |
JR week in review: For the first time in 2 years gets criticized for his poor shot selection, which has you know been quite poor. His response is to say something rude to the coach and then take 1 shot in 26 minutes as a protest. As a result gets promoted to a starter where he continues to shoot 33% or below. Finally has one game where he shoots a whopping 37% and I have to read 3 articles about how JR is back, how JR got his groove back and JR is out of his slump. Have I gone completely mad or is 37% still not very good? I have no idea how ANY of the things I just mentioned are actual things that really happened let alone all of them happening. It’s complete madness and my head is throbbing trying to make sense of it. |
