2014/15 Knicks Roster Power Rankings – Week 10

I didn’t show up for week 9 of the power rankings but that’s OK because neither did the Knicks. This weeks power rankings will include the last 6 losses…er…games…same thing at this point I guess.

Rank Player Comments Last weeks Rank
1 Anthony, Carmelo His knee is really really hurting so in the 4 complete games he plays he played for 40, 38, 43, and 46 minutes. He then couldn’t even come out after halftime last game. I know Melo is against the idea of tanking and wants to be out there, but the team is 5-28, the knee is getting worse and there are 4 years left on this ridiculous contract. Get the knee fixed and come back 100% next season. 1
2 Aldrich, Cole Great week from Cole. One game he shoots 8-9 and the next night he has 19 boards. He’s not intimidating protecting the rim, but I still think he does a better job than Sam (I should retire soon) Dalembert. 10
3 Calderon, Jose Ball movement and passing are a huge plus, the +/- is a huge negative. He’s an OK starting PG, but I’m worried about having him as the #1 PG option for the next 2 years. 2
4 Prigioni, Pablo His shooting has been off and it looked like he had an eff you game jacking up threes last game, but he still assists and a higher clip than anyone else on this team. 3
5 Larkin, Shane Good thing Shane plays defense, because he’s not very good on offense. 5
6 Smith, Jason His numbers say he’s not that bad but the eye test makes me want to not have eyes. 9
7 Wear, Travis We don’t expect much and he doesn’t give much. Works out all around. 11
8 Hardaway Jr., Tim Well THJ has been getting extended run for some time now and still hasn’t really put it together on either end of the court on a consistent basis.  7
9 Acy, Quincy Put up bad numbers and also got suspended for taking a swing at Wall. Not a very good week for cookie monster. 4
10 Dalembert, Samuel The best +/- Dalembert posted in the last 2 weeks was a 0. 8
11 Stoudemire, Amar’e Amare played 2 out of the last 6 games. In the most recent one he actually had more rebounds than turnovers and fouls. It had to happen at some point this season. 6
12 Smith, J.R. I had a feeling this would be a long term injury. The plantar is an unforgiving thing. Take your time JR. Please. 12
13 Shumpert, Iman I hope Shumpert is watching video tape of him reaching in and committing dumb fouls and learning what not to do. 13
14 Early, Cleanthony Early is due back soon and with Melo hobbling around he might actually get some run too. 14
15 Bargnani, Andrea Rumor has it that after missing 73 straight games Bargnani might make an appearance tomorrow….yay? 15
