Four games and four losses this week, with 3 of them being disgusting blowouts. It all makes sense when you take a look at the Knicks top 5 players this week. These last 20 games are going to really drag, especially if you’re looking forward to arguably the most interesting western conference playoffs we’ve ever seen.

1 | Bargnani, Andrea | Bargnani looked great in the two games against the Pacers. Like really good. And he didn’t look good in the Kings and Nuggets game. Reason 415 why I don’t want the Knicks to sign Hibbert, who was held to 3 points and 0-6 shooting. Against Bargs. | 1 |
2 | Shved, Alexey | I am quickly becoming a Shvedhead. He’s by far the best on this team at drawing fouls, and he can rebound and pass. He even found his shot against the Nuggets. | 5 |
3 | Larkin, Shane | Larkin had an OK week. He led the team in assists in two of the four games and didn’t turn the ball over too much. | 8 |
4 | Amundson, Lou | Lou missed a game with back spasms and then played 14 minutes off the bench and managed to get more rebounds than our starting PF that game (Smith 1 board in 21 minutes). | 2 |
5 | Galloway, Langston | Galloway had 2 decent games but he also managed to get a +/- of -40 against the Kings. How is that even possible? Continue reading |

2013/14 Knicks Roster Power Rankings – Week 21
Only two games this week. The Knicks winning streak continues, but their streak of playing terrible teams comes to an end on Wednesday when the play the Pacers. We’ll talk playoff possibilities next week, for now lets enjoy a 6 game winning streak and the acquisition of Phil Jackson.

1 | Anthony, Carmelo | Melo played 39 minutes in a blowout game to a terrible team. You’d think with 17 other PF’s on the team Woodson would be able to rest Melo once in a while. Anyway, another typical week from Melo, lots of points and a good amount of rebounds. | 2 |
2 | Hardaway Jr., Tim | I’ve been saying that THJ would have to go off on offense to compensate for his lack of defense and that’s just what he did. Two straight 20+ point games on some crazy good shooting nights. If this were NBA Jam he’d have a trail of fire following the ball every time he shoots. | 10 |
3 | Smith, J.R. | Who is this Smith guy who takes a normal amount of shots and hits a decent amount of them? Who is this guy who passes the ball more than the starting PG? And will it continue when the weather gets warmer and the club scene picks up? | 4 |
4 | Aldrich, Cole | With Chandler and Amare out Aldrich got the starting nod against Boston and responded with a double double and three blocks. He was rewarded the next game with a handful of garbage time minutes because Woodson. | 13 |
5 | Stoudemire, Amar’e | Amare played only one of the two games this week but continued his streak of being phenomenal on offense. | 1 Continue reading |
2013/14 Knicks Roster Power Rankings – Week 14
The Knicks went 2-1 this week. 2-0 after injuried to Amare, Bargnani, K-Mart, and Metta forced Woodson to go with the 2 point guard lineup that pretty much everyone on the planet except Woodson realizes is the way to go with this team. This week is the exact opposite of last week, it’s tough to rank because no one had a particularly bad week where last week was tough because no one had a good week.

1 | Anthony, Carmelo | Lets see, all Carmelo did this week was have the highest scoring game of all time at MSG with 62 points on 66% shooting, 13 rebounds and zero turnovers while facing double and triple teams. Anyone who complained about his zero assists should be banned from watching basketball. He also surrounded that game with a 28 point 7 assits night and a 35 point 5 assist night. Even if the rest of the season is miserable , we got to experience one of the best regular season games I can ever remember watching. | 2 |
2 | Chandler, Tyson | Tyson is starting to look a lot more like the defensive beast we remember. Now that Woodson realizes (for now at least) that Tyler and Aldrich can handle center duty for 10 minutes each, Tyson can go all out for 30 minutes a night instead of playing an exhausting 40+ minutes. Everyone wins. | 1 |
3 | Prigioni, Pablo | Priggy is going this high not because of his numbers but because the Knicks hardly ever lose when he starts and he also makes Felton look like not the worst starting PG in the league. | 10 |
4 | Felton, Raymond | Felton looks like a good PG when there is another PG out there at the same time doing half the PG duties. Maybe it’s just because of Pablo (it is) but Felton did have a very good week even if the problem of opposing guards running amok still hasn’t been solved. | 13 |
5 | Hardaway Jr., Tim | Look who remembered how to shoot again! THJ looked very good (on offense) this week, especially during the Lakers game. | 9 Continue reading |
JR Smith Trade Scenarios
The Knicks are looking into trading JR Smith. Considering he’s played like crap for pretty much the entire season, had an offseason knee surgery, got suspended for repeated drug violations as well as fined for repeated unsportsmanlike conduct (shoelacegate parts 1 and 2) the market for JR is at an all time low. Remember, when the market for JR was at an all time high after he got the 6th man of the year award the Knicks were still the only team to make an offer. That being said I’m going to attempt to propose a few trade scenarios that would kinda sorta make sense for the other team (obviously any trade getting rid of JR makes sense for the Knicks).
Scenario #1
Milwaukee Bucks get:
JR Smith
Cole Aldrich
New York Knicks get:
Gary Neal
Carlos Delfino
Why the Bucks do it: The Bucks really want to get rid of Neal and Delfino hasn’t been healthy in 4 years. The Bucks save about 1M a year after this year and in theory replace Neals 3 point shooting.
Why the Knicks do it: They get rid of JR Smith
Scenario #2 Continue reading
