| For the first time in 5 weeks the Knicks have won a game, going 1 and 1 this week. I hope they got the winning out of their system. We’re in tank more and this is a tough week for tanking with Philly, Orlando, and Charlotte coming up. | |||
| Rank | Player | Comments | Last weeks Rank |
| 1 | Anthony, Carmelo | I’m torn, do I give Melo the #1 spot because he played great or penalize him for getting us a win when we’re trying to tank? | 11 |
| 2 | Calderon, Jose | Literally no one else on this roster put together two really good games so *pulls name out of a hat* congrats Jose, you had your monthly good game against Milwaukee and it earned you the #2 spot this week. | 9 |
| 3 | Galloway, Langston | Going with the trend of having 1 good game, Galloway went off against the Pelicans. Hardaway should be very nervous, Galloway will be taking Hardaway and Priggys minutes going forward. | 3 |
| 4 | Amundson, Lou | Lou has a terrible shot but he knows that so he mostly just gets rebounds and blocks, which are things our other big men don’t really do. | 13 |
| 5 | Smith, Jason | The fact that Jason Smith has the 5th best week on this team goes a long way in explaining the 6-36 record. Continue reading | |

2014/15 Knicks Roster Power Rankings – Week 12
| These rankings are being posted on the 1 month anniversary of the Knicks winning a game. They have now lost 25 of the last 26 games. Just to put this season in perspective; Philly, a team that is trying to lose as much as possible has won 7 games in that same span of time. At least we can get excited about Langston Galloway. | |||
| Rank | Player | Comments | Last weeks Rank |
| 1 | Larkin, Shane | Shane was the most consistant player on the Knicks this week and by that I mean the only consistant player. | 5 |
| 2 | Wear, Travis | If you are wondering how it’s possible that the Knicks are this bad just take a look at this top 5. That should help put things in perspective. | 7 |
| 3 | Galloway, Langston | Not a bad first week on the job. From the D-league to a top 3 player on the team. | N/A |
| 4 | Acy, Quincy | How come Acy can hit 3 point shots now but can’t seem to hit 10 foot ones? | 1 |
| 5 | Early, Cleanthony | Early is still very raw but has shown enough flashes of good play to get me excited for his development. Then I remembered the Knicks don’t develop players so I hope he has a long and great career for whatever team the Knicks trade him to in a year or two. Continue reading | |
Episode 279: Later JR
Marc and Jay break down the JR and Shumpert trade, talk about the Galloway signing, tanking, Phil Jacksons comments on the state of the Knicks, an interview with JR, this years Knickeffect list
Knick Effect 2014/15
In 2010/11 and 2011/12 (I slacked in 2013) and 2013/14 I kept a Knick Effect list. What this is is a list of every player that has had his highest or second highest scoring game of the season against the Knicks. I started this because it seems like every game some random guy on the bench is going off against the Knicks. In 2010/11 there were 37 instances of the #Knickeffect and in 2011/12 there was an astounding 44. In 2013/14 oddly enough the number went down to 31. Lets see how long the list gets this year in the return of the #Knickeffect
Update: On 12/27/14 we had our first triple #Knickeffect!
Highest scoring game of the season
10/29/14 – Doug McDermott – 12 points
11/7/14 – Deron Williams – 29 points
11/8/14 – Kyle Korver – 27 points
11/12/14 – Evan Fournier – 28 points
11/14/14 – Gordon Hayward – 33 points
11/19/14 – Kevin Martin – 37 points
11/26/14 – Dirk Nowitzki – 30 points
12/4/14 – Kyrie Irving – 37 points
12/9/14 – Omer Asik – 16 points
12/10/14 – Marco Belinelli – 22 points
12/14/14 – Terrence Ross – 22 points
12/18/14 – Jimmy Butler – 35 points
12/27/14 – DeMarcus Cousins – 39 points
12/27/14 – Darren Collison – 27 points
12/28/14 – Wesley Matthews – 28 points
1/4/15 – Zaza Pachulia – 16 points
1/5/15 – Tony Allen – 14 points
1/10/15 – P.J. Hairston – 15 points

Why Continue to Watch the Knicks?
2014/15 Knicks Roster Power Rankings – Week 11
| Well that was a surprise. Last night the Knicks traded JR Smith and Iman Shumpert for Lance Thomas, Alex Kirk, and Lou Amundson and waived Sam Dalembert. Philly won so the Knicks are officially in 30th. Or 1st if you are rooting for the best chance at that #1 pick. The tank is in full effect! | |||
| Rank | Player | Comments | Last weeks Rank |
| 1 | Acy, Quincy | Acy gets the #1 spot solely for last nights game. 87% shooting. 2 three pointers. 14 rebounds. Team high 19 points. What? | 9 |
| 2 | Aldrich, Cole | Cole was on a roll until the Memphis game. It was fun while it lasted. At least we don’t have to worry about Dalembert taking his minutes anymore. | 2 |
| 3 | Prigioni, Pablo | I could put any of our 3 PGs in the 3-5 spots, they are all of equal talent right now. And by equal talent I mean somewhere in the high 20’s or low 30’s as far as best PG’s in the league. | 4 |
| 4 | Calderon, Jose | Remember when Calderon wasn’t washed up? One of these days the Knicks will aquire a player BEFORE he’s past his prime. | 3 |
| 5 | Larkin, Shane | I was about to write how this team is composed of shooters who can’t shoot and PG’s who can’t pass and then Shane ruins it by getting 8 assists against Memphis. Continue reading | |
Episode 278: Master Plan
Marc and Jay briefly talk about the last 3 games, take a look at the roster to see if the record is Melos fault, top 5 2015 predictions, and much more
2014/15 Knicks Roster Power Rankings – Week 10
| I didn’t show up for week 9 of the power rankings but that’s OK because neither did the Knicks. This weeks power rankings will include the last 6 losses…er…games…same thing at this point I guess. | |||
| Rank | Player | Comments | Last weeks Rank |
| 1 | Anthony, Carmelo | His knee is really really hurting so in the 4 complete games he plays he played for 40, 38, 43, and 46 minutes. He then couldn’t even come out after halftime last game. I know Melo is against the idea of tanking and wants to be out there, but the team is 5-28, the knee is getting worse and there are 4 years left on this ridiculous contract. Get the knee fixed and come back 100% next season. | 1 |
| 2 | Aldrich, Cole | Great week from Cole. One game he shoots 8-9 and the next night he has 19 boards. He’s not intimidating protecting the rim, but I still think he does a better job than Sam (I should retire soon) Dalembert. | 10 |
| 3 | Calderon, Jose | Ball movement and passing are a huge plus, the +/- is a huge negative. He’s an OK starting PG, but I’m worried about having him as the #1 PG option for the next 2 years. | 2 |
| 4 | Prigioni, Pablo | His shooting has been off and it looked like he had an eff you game jacking up threes last game, but he still assists and a higher clip than anyone else on this team. | 3 |
| 5 | Larkin, Shane | Good thing Shane plays defense, because he’s not very good on offense. Continue reading | |
