| These rankings are being posted on the 1 month anniversary of the Knicks winning a game. They have now lost 25 of the last 26 games. Just to put this season in perspective; Philly, a team that is trying to lose as much as possible has won 7 games in that same span of time. At least we can get excited about Langston Galloway. | |||
| Rank | Player | Comments | Last weeks Rank |
| 1 | Larkin, Shane | Shane was the most consistant player on the Knicks this week and by that I mean the only consistant player. | 5 |
| 2 | Wear, Travis | If you are wondering how it’s possible that the Knicks are this bad just take a look at this top 5. That should help put things in perspective. | 7 |
| 3 | Galloway, Langston | Not a bad first week on the job. From the D-league to a top 3 player on the team. | N/A |
| 4 | Acy, Quincy | How come Acy can hit 3 point shots now but can’t seem to hit 10 foot ones? | 1 |
| 5 | Early, Cleanthony | Early is still very raw but has shown enough flashes of good play to get me excited for his development. Then I remembered the Knicks don’t develop players so I hope he has a long and great career for whatever team the Knicks trade him to in a year or two. Continue reading | |

2014/15 Knicks Roster Power Rankings – Week 11
| Well that was a surprise. Last night the Knicks traded JR Smith and Iman Shumpert for Lance Thomas, Alex Kirk, and Lou Amundson and waived Sam Dalembert. Philly won so the Knicks are officially in 30th. Or 1st if you are rooting for the best chance at that #1 pick. The tank is in full effect! | |||
| Rank | Player | Comments | Last weeks Rank |
| 1 | Acy, Quincy | Acy gets the #1 spot solely for last nights game. 87% shooting. 2 three pointers. 14 rebounds. Team high 19 points. What? | 9 |
| 2 | Aldrich, Cole | Cole was on a roll until the Memphis game. It was fun while it lasted. At least we don’t have to worry about Dalembert taking his minutes anymore. | 2 |
| 3 | Prigioni, Pablo | I could put any of our 3 PGs in the 3-5 spots, they are all of equal talent right now. And by equal talent I mean somewhere in the high 20’s or low 30’s as far as best PG’s in the league. | 4 |
| 4 | Calderon, Jose | Remember when Calderon wasn’t washed up? One of these days the Knicks will aquire a player BEFORE he’s past his prime. | 3 |
| 5 | Larkin, Shane | I was about to write how this team is composed of shooters who can’t shoot and PG’s who can’t pass and then Shane ruins it by getting 8 assists against Memphis. Continue reading | |
2013/14 Knicks Roster Power Rankings – Week 25
| The Knicks are officially eliminated so now they are beating playoff teams that are still fighting for playoff position because Knicks. A 2-0 week and two games to go to end this miserable season. | |||
| Rank | Player | Comments | Last weeks Rank |
| 1 | Anthony, Carmelo | The 5 days off did Melo good as he’s back to the great play we’ve seen most of the season. Melo had the best season of his career and yet misses the playoffs for the first time in his career. Props to Melo for trying until the very end. He could easily have half-assed his way through the last few games and no one would have blamed him. | 3 |
| 2 | Stoudemire, Amar’e | Amare has hardly missed any games this season and is still healthy. Figures that for the first time in 4 years he’s healthy for the playoffs and still won’t get to participate. | 2 |
| 3 | Smith, J.R. | JR isn’t on the record setting pace he was last week but still hit 8 3’s in the two games on a decent percentage. So what was up with the first 4 months, injury or just mental? I’d say injury but he seemed to instantly get 200% better the day after Woodson sat him for a full game as punishment. | 1 |
| 4 | Shumpert, Iman | Look at that defense! So glad everyone is rounding into form 2 weeks too late. | 4 |
| 5 | Chandler, Tyson | A grand total of 7 points in the last two games. OK, not everyone is rounding into form at the end of the season. | 5 |
| 6 | Prigioni, Pablo | Pablo passes the ball and he’s not Raymond Felton, that’s good enough for 6th place before we even mention he’s 2nd in the league in 3 point percentage. | 6 |
| 7 | Aldrich, Cole | Aldrich has done a nice job at backup center when he’s called upon. Which is about once a week for reasons only known to Woodson. | 9 |
| 8 | Felton, Raymond | Not a bad week for Felton. Not a good week but considering the way this season has gone I’ll gladly take a mediocre week from Felton. | 7 |
| 9 | Hardaway Jr., Tim | THJ really regressed the last few weeks. He still has potential and hopefully will grow next season. Looking back at the draft there isn’t one player that got picked after him that I’d rather have. | 8 |
| 10 | Murry, Toure’ | Murry played 1 more minute than Brown this week for a total of 1 minute played. Why develop players when you’re eliminated from the playoffs when you can add wear and tear to your vets for next year! | 10 |
| 11 | Jeremy Tyler | Same comment as for Murry, why in the world not play these guys 30 minutes a game to give them some run considering there is nothing to play for now. | 12 |
| 12 | Shannon Brown | Zero minutes this week but at least he got to wear a jersey. | 11 |
| 13 | Martin, Kenyon | Still getting dem checks. | 13 |
| 14 | Bargnani, Andrea | If you don’t have anything nice to say…. | 14 |
2013/14 Knicks Roster Power Rankings – Week 20
| This week is pretty much the exact opposite of last week. The Knicks won all four games, lots of players got involved and everyone looks energized. Oh yeah and Phil Jackson might become president. Kind of awkward timing for all this considering there is a protest planned for tomorrow. Lets see how the Knicks look at they race to keep their very slim playoff hopes alive: | |||
| Rank | Player | Comments | Last weeks Rank |
| 1 | Stoudemire, Amar’e | The only things Amare did this week was to move into the starting lineup, find his midrange shot again, rebound at a nice clip, block shots and play acceptable defense. I never expected Amare to every claim the #1 spot, but the Knicks are full of surprises lately. | 4 |
| 2 | Anthony, Carmelo | Melo has been getting a lot more assists lately. It’s amazing what happens when your teammates actually hit shots. | 1 |
| 3 | Chandler, Tyson | Chandler missed the Philly game due to personal reasons, but before that had 3 double-doubles. | 2 |
| 4 | Smith, J.R. | JR was also a big part of this turnaround, moving into the starting lineup, not taking as many shots and shooting more efficiently. He’s also been getting a few nice looking assists every game. | 14 |
| 5 | Shumpert, Iman | While he hasn’t been lighting up the box score, a look at his +/- numbers shows you the impact he has had on the court this week. Pretty much the only bench player who’s been productive. | 13 Continue reading |
2013/14 Knicks Roster Power Rankings – Week 14
| The Knicks went 2-1 this week. 2-0 after injuried to Amare, Bargnani, K-Mart, and Metta forced Woodson to go with the 2 point guard lineup that pretty much everyone on the planet except Woodson realizes is the way to go with this team. This week is the exact opposite of last week, it’s tough to rank because no one had a particularly bad week where last week was tough because no one had a good week. | |||
| Rank | Player | Comments | Last weeks Rank |
| 1 | Anthony, Carmelo | Lets see, all Carmelo did this week was have the highest scoring game of all time at MSG with 62 points on 66% shooting, 13 rebounds and zero turnovers while facing double and triple teams. Anyone who complained about his zero assists should be banned from watching basketball. He also surrounded that game with a 28 point 7 assits night and a 35 point 5 assist night. Even if the rest of the season is miserable , we got to experience one of the best regular season games I can ever remember watching. | 2 |
| 2 | Chandler, Tyson | Tyson is starting to look a lot more like the defensive beast we remember. Now that Woodson realizes (for now at least) that Tyler and Aldrich can handle center duty for 10 minutes each, Tyson can go all out for 30 minutes a night instead of playing an exhausting 40+ minutes. Everyone wins. | 1 |
| 3 | Prigioni, Pablo | Priggy is going this high not because of his numbers but because the Knicks hardly ever lose when he starts and he also makes Felton look like not the worst starting PG in the league. | 10 |
| 4 | Felton, Raymond | Felton looks like a good PG when there is another PG out there at the same time doing half the PG duties. Maybe it’s just because of Pablo (it is) but Felton did have a very good week even if the problem of opposing guards running amok still hasn’t been solved. | 13 |
| 5 | Hardaway Jr., Tim | Look who remembered how to shoot again! THJ looked very good (on offense) this week, especially during the Lakers game. | 9 Continue reading |
2013/14 Knicks Roster Power Rankings – Week 12
| Four games and four wins this week making it the best week since I started this rankings. Unlike most weeks, I might even be able to avoid making myself furious by the end of this weeks rankings: | |||
| Rank | Player | Comments | Last weeks Rank |
| 1 | Anthony, Carmelo | Melo started the week off on fire. His last two games he hasn’t shot particularly well but it’s probably harder to shoot when there is no consistent 2nd scoring option and opponents can double you on every possession. Melo has also been rebounding and even assisting at a decent clip. This weeks clear #1. | 3 |
| 2 | Shumpert, Iman | While Shumpert didn’t shoot well this week, he seems to have found his groove defensively again, putting up the best +/- on the team with a total +46 in 4 games. He’s also averaged about 8 rebounds per game which is a nice bonus. | 1 |
| 3 | Martin, Kenyon | It won’t show up as much in the box scores but Kenyon has been huge for the Knicks. He’s had more than a few timely putbacks and has been an underrated passes as well. | 6 |
| 4 | Bargnani, Andrea | it’s feast for famine with Bargnani. He looked so good against Detroit and Miami and so bad against Philly. At least it looks like Woodson has learned to play Bargs more when he’s hot and much less when he’s not. Kinda like what should have been done with JR for the last 2 seasons. | 7 |
| 5 | Stoudemire, Amar’e | While Amare had a poor outing in Detroit, he was huge in the Miami and Philly games. He looks like he’s getting his confidence back and even got to show off some of those new post moves we’ve been hearing about. Amare has already played more games than last season. I’m not sure if anyone really truely expects him to stay healthy through the rest of the season and the playoffs but if he can it’ll give the bench a much needed scoring punch. | Continue reading |
2013/14 Knicks Roster Power Rankings – Week 4
| This weeks ranking were very hard to put together because I didn’t want an 11 way tie for last place. Some players are too high, but sitting on the bench doing nothing at least doesn’t kill the team as much as the play of other players has. | |||
| Rank | Player | Comments | Last weeks Rank |
| 1 | Anthony, Carmelo | Have to bump Melo up to #1 after his 45 point game. He’s still been very inconsistent shooting, but with the entire rest of the team other than Bargnani playing like crap Melo has to be in the top spot this week. | 2 |
| 2 | Bargnani, Andrea | I can’t believe Bargs is up this high after we tore him apart for the first 4 games. He’s been great on offense for 5 straight games and has even rebounded well in 3 of them. This is as good as it gets with Bargs and I’m more than happy with this level of play. | 3 |
| 3 | Shumpert, Iman | It looks like the trade rumors have been getting to him a little bit, that and being the latest Knicks to get a secret knee surgery over the summer. Seriously are there any Knicks who DIDN’T get a secret knee surgery this summer, and do they all do to the same doctor and bump into each other in the waiting room? Anyway, he’s been consistently decent and one of a very few Knicks that don’t make me yell and throw things constantly. | 8 |
| 4 | Prigioni, Pablo | Why Pablo doesn’t get more playing time is beyond me, he might be the Knicks best point guard at this point. | 4 |
| 5 | Hardaway Jr., Tim | THJ hasn’t done anything great when he’s been on the court but he hasn’t done anything terrible either. Sadly, that’s enough to earn a top 5 spot on this team. Continue reading | |
